NASSCOM Kolkata organized an effective session supported by the IT Dept. Govt. of West Bengal on “how smartphones can boost your business?” at Webel Manibhander in Salt Lake Sector V on August 23, 2018.
Smartphones are need of the hour. Whether it’s a business of any type or size or or day to day life – we just cannot ignore smartphones today. A recent forecast by eMarketer, the US-based market research firm, suggests that more than a quarter of India’s population will be using smartphones by the end of this year.The number of smartphone users in India is expected to grow by 15.6% to reach 337 million in 2018.
Mr. Debasish Sen, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of West Bengal, IT Dept. & Chairman NDITA was present at the event to encourage the speakers and the IT community of Kolkata.
Mr. Nirupam Chowdhury, Regional Head East, NASSCOM set the stage, by sharing a brief on the importance of smartphones, before handing over the session to two young entrepreneurs of web & mobile development companies in Kolkata.
First to take the stage was Mr. Arindam Bhattacharjee, CEO, Intelligent App Solutions. He shared with the audience basics of smartphones, who need mobile apps, why do we need mobile apps, when to go for mobile app development etc.

Later Swarnendu explained how an app can help a business to scale by citing some examples:

He further emphasized on customer touch points and how they play a very important role in every business.
There were several questions from audience pertaining to hybrid vs. native app development, security aspects and marketability of apps.
